EXETER, N.H. - Exeter Hospital in New Hampshire was evacuated Friday morning and extra ambulances were called in after reports of an odor in the emergency room, according to the local firefighters' union. If a Community Revitalization Tax Relief Incentive 79-E application is approved by the governing body, a property owner receives a period of relief from increased property taxes, according to the New Hampshire Preservation Alliance.

Hall, Alfano confirmed by Executive Council

Two Seacoast attorneys were unanimously confirmed by the New Hampshire Executive Council to become judges on the Circuit Court of New Hampshire this month. Polly Hall of Durham and Michael Alfano of Exeter were both confirmed by a 5-0 vote on July 14. They were nominated for the entry-level court positions by Gov. Chris Sununu in June.

Former Exeter High counselor faces new sex charges in Lee

A former Exeter High School guidance counselor charged with four counts of sexual assault out of Rockingham County now faces additional charges out of Strafford County, alleging she assaulted the same 15-year-old in Lee just days after the initial assault. Kristie Torbick, 37, of 48 James Farm Road in Lee, was indicted by a Strafford Superior Court grand jury for one count of aggravated felonious sexual assault and two counts of felonious sexual assault.
